Research Highlights

Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU).
REU provides undergraduate students from any field of Engineering, Social Sciences, Business/Economics
from any university to participate in sustainability research pertaining to (1) environmental systems, (2) industrial systems,
(3) societal systems, and (4) integrative initiatives that join all three of these areas.

Julia Kalloz is an REU student from Villanova University working towards degrees in Political Science,
Environmental Studies, and German. She performed her research under the direction of CWS participants,
Kathy Halvorsen (Sociology and Natural Resources) and Alex Mayer (Hydrology) to illustrate interdisciplinary
research on watershed groups. The project was supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF).
